Simulated On-Site Orientation

Imagine taking a new hire on a site tour long before he/she ever visits that location? Well, that’s what we’re about to create for one of our long-time customers. It’s basically a video game with a [training] purpose.

Our immersive training strategy offers learners a simulated walk-through of a drill site. This technology provides Boart Longyear endless opportunities for interactive instruction and orientation.  New hires can explore a job site safely and examine various tools, hazards, and equipment long before they visit an actual site.

This simulated training will ensure a level of situational fluency matched only by an actual site visit.

Our team has developed immersive training strategies for some of the largest companies in heavy industry, including Boart Longyear. This instructional technology reduces time for training and orientation and provides a rich, interactive environment for learning. This screen shot was used in our Advanced Incident Investigation course for Newmont. We simulated a first-responder scenario after an incident. Learners were required to identify and classify certain hazards as well as perform other incident investigation functions.
