Sundance Retreat
This weekend we had another Symbrosium with a different group of men. Among the group were a former military pilot/now commercial pilot, a hospitality entrepreneur, various film producers, thinkers, and creators.

We held the event at Sundance, under the majestic Timpanogos mountains. It was a great backdrop to think and explore.

As we started the event, we shared a short introduction on the Greek tradition of Symposium - which is where a group of thinkers, dreamers, and doers would discuss a multitude of topics, often philosophical.

Seven men. One Cabin. An infinite backdrop of ideas to explore. This event is a testament that people who hold different world views can hold space for thoughtful conversation.

Dinner at Sundance was awesome. We each paired off with a partner and got to know each other - and then share some insight on a personal struggle.

A challenge to every human who walks on earth. When you're tempted to judge someone's dysfunction or difference from you, ask yourself: "How is this exactly me?"

Another observation on the need for peer reflection, if we're brave enough to receive it.

For 24 hours, a quiet cabin became a place for radical candor, armchair philosophy, and helpful peer advice. It was beautiful to see people who saw the world differently respectfully hold space for each other.
